Dus saal baadYash Raj Films recently reunited Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol for a photo shoot to bring in the 500 weeks celebration. While the lensman was setting the lights, Kajol was fretting. When SRK asked her the reason, she said, ‘‘Gosh, can you believe it, our movie is 10 years old. My God, we are getting old. Our kids are growing up. It’s so weird.’’ While trying to soothe her, SRK just couldn’t stop laughing. Raj Malhotra lives on.

Women Of the world

Knocking on the glass ceiling has become passé for these achievers, storming into the male bastions, is a thing of the past as well. Comfortable in the driving seat of the their chosen fields, these women have reached the pinnacle of success. Topping the Forbes and the Times lists, they make all talk about their gender inconsequential. If Oprah were a man who would she be? There are no male equivalents or superiors to some of these women. This article is a tribute to the women rock and rule the world.

For a woman who believed that she may not be able to buy a hamburger at Woolworths’ coffee shop but was capable of being the president of the Unites States of America, Condeleezza Rice has come very far. The first woman to occupy the position of the National Security advisor for the first term of the bush administration and moving up the ranks to make the transition to secretary of state, a post held by amoral intellectuals like Henry Kissinger in the Nixon administration. To make the move is my no means an easy task but relationship between the president and his secretary in state leaves no one is doubt about the fact that when she speaks it is on behalf of the white house. At 50, this political Science student is on the board of Chevron Corporation, the Charles Schwab Corporation, the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, the University of Notre Dame, the International Advisory Council of J.P. Morgan. In addition, her past board service has encompassed such organizations as Transamerica Corporation, Hewlett Packard, the Carnegie Corporation, Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, The Rand Corporation etc. This should leave no one in doubt about who actually makes all the tough decisions at the white house, thus making Ms. Rice one of the most powerful women in the world.

Although Mrs. Clinton comes lower down in the rung of the power politics, she is a nonetheless a force to reckon with. Instead of being arm candy for the president, as most of her predecessors, this feisty lady had an active career that prepared her for the senatorial race. In 1993 she was asked by President Clinton to chair the task force on National Health Care Reform for which she received a lot of flak. Even though as the first lady, some of her actions came under severe criticism but she has been always known for her staunch support to the cause of women empowerment and children’s issue. A pioneer, who became the first woman to become a senator after being a first lady, was also the first woman senator from New York. Touted as a probable candidate for presidency in 2008, this fiercely ambitious lawyer is also famous for her faux pas that demonstrates the pinnacle of her ambition, ‘'I'm having a great time being the Pres, I mean Senator from New York.' To give her credit, if anyone has the potential to be the first woman president of the United States, it is Hillary Rodham Clinton.

It was in the middle of an interview with a woman named Trudy Chase, who has multiple personalities and was severely abused as a child, Oprah realised that she wasn’t to blame for the abuse she received as a child. This revelation, she says, finally set her free. She finally acknowledged the fact that her teenage promiscuousness, was her inability to recognise the fact that the child is never to blame. All this at the age of 36, on the show made famous by her inimitable style and panache – the Oprah Winfrey show. Self-realisation, battling inner demons and still having the courage to face life with the same flair is what makes Oprah so popular with her 34 million audience in US and countless millions the world over. The self made Billionaire, entrepreneur, actress and entertainment executive who dedication to child reform is incomparable says that her compassion for the downtrodden comes from her own childhood experiences. A staunch child activist, she helped president Clinton sign the National Child protection Law, which helped create a database of child abusers and made it mandatory for all agencies hiring child care providers to be able to do background checks on the applicants, the law was informally known as the ‘Oprah bill’. She got America reading again with her book club transforming books into overnight best sellers. She's the first black American woman billionaire, and reportedly makes about half a million dollars a day from her TV show alone. She owns or co-owns the Oxygen Network, O Magazine, her own Harpo Studio, Harpo Productions, Harpo Films, Harpo Print, and Harpo Video. Harpo, of course, is Oprah spelled backwards. A role model for millions and a philanthropist, when this little girl from Mississippi talks the world sits up and takes notice.

Capturing the imaginations of millions, introducing the world to a host of new odd sounding words, Muggle Joanne K Rowling would have done well at Hogwarts, such is the magic her pen wields. Enthralling an entire nation and the world with the adventures of an orphan who finds out the truth about himself and his origins, made Ms. Rowling the richest woman in the United Kingdom and the only person who became a millionaire through her writings. A teacher of the English language at Porto, Portugal, Rowling began Harry’s journey while on a train journey herself. This divorced and single mom on welfare actually skipped meals to save enough money for her four-month-old daughter. She then wrote the first Harry potter novel and met literary agent Christopher Little and the rest as we know is ‘HIS-story’. Such as been the impact of Rowling’s words that ‘Muggle’, a term she coined for non magical people is going to appear in the revised version of the Oxford English Dictionary, because of the popularity of its usage. A classical story of triumph of the human spirit in times of adversity.

If someone knows how to turn everyday things one learns at home into a successful multi million dollar empire is Martha Stewart, a name synonymous with good living. In spite of being convicted of insider trading Martha’s appeal has never gone down with the public, which explains why she is richer today than the day she got convicted. Learning the basics of cooking, decorating and entertaining from her mother and gardening from her father at the age of three, this entrepreneur realised her potential when she was decorating her own house. It was then she started her small catering business and there has been no looking back for Martha Stewart. Voted as one of the 25 most influential and richest women in the world. Martha makes even the most mundane and boring of things look good. With her award-winning magazine Martha Stewart Living, an Emmy Award-winning television show, a Web site, syndicated newspaper columns, national radio show, mail-order catalogue and product lines, Martha shares the creative principles and practical ideas that have made her America's most trusted guide to stylish living.

A rather unusual entry in this article would be that of Sharon Osbourne. Even someone who is not a heavy metal aficionado would recognise the name. But she enters this list not for being the better half of the ex black Sabbath member Ozzy Osbourne but because of her strong business acumen. Her father Don Arden was the manger Black Sabbath, after Ozzy was fired from the band; Sharon took over as his manager and life partner. Over the years the decline in Ozzy fortunes and personal life was evident. The drugs and alcohol problems plagued Ozzy as he also tried to strangle Sharon. The incident probably lead to Sharon taking over the reins of their lives and careers. She resurrected Ozzy’s fading career and went on to be the manager for some of the best rock acts in the business today like Marilyn Manson, Limp Bizkit and Slipknot. This colon cancer survivor along with her husband also snagged a rank in the Forbes list with a 40 million pounds fortune. In, what is typically a very male dominated industry, Sharon Osbourne has made her name and reputation as a ace businesswoman and a tough nut to crack.

Another person who will raise eyebrows is also one of the youngest woman to receive a Damehood. This 28-year-old yachtswoman was the fastest person to circumnavigate the world as of 17th February 2005. Inspired by a sailing trip she took with her aunt when she was just 8 years old, she saved up her school dinner money for three years to buy her first boat. The sailing world began to sit up and take notice of this whirlwind of a woman when she won the mono hull division of the solo transatlantic race and later a second place in Vendee Globe solo around the world race. Experience and brawn are two things that are of paramount importance in the sport of solo sailing, both of which Ellen does not possess and still at 28, she is at the pinnacle of the sport. Her success reinforces our belief in the power of dreams.

until the decade or so, the words nuclear power and woman were used only in sexist jokes that is till Anne Lauvergeon took over the reins of Avera, the worldwide leader in energy(nuclear power and electricity transmission & distribution. This super achiever who is a scientist virtually created the nuclear power company ‘Avera’ in 2001. In an industry that is extremely controversial, Anne manages to break the barrier and gain more and more acceptance for the usage of this alternative form of energy production. Starting her professional career in the mining industry in France she moved on the become the secretary general and the “Sherpa” to the G7 summits in Francois Mitterand’s administration. She followed that up with being the Chairman and Managing Director of Cogema, the French nuclear power and followed that with snagging the CEO seat at Avera. She is the only woman to be a director of one of the CAC 40 companies. Anne achievements send us a strong message: doesn’t matter who you are or where you come from, as long as you have the skills and the perseverance, the goal is never very far.

“I try to steer people away from the approach of saying I care more about the environment and less about animal rights or something of that nature, but to look at the whole picture and take the whole picture into account”, with these words the founder and CEO of Domini Social Equity mutual fund, Amy Domini tries to explain why she found her company. The author of ‘Ethical Investing’ points out that investing after investigating will raise the standards of accountability for most companies and will in turn help make the world a better place. No ideal dreamer this woman, Amy has managed to double the assets of her social investing funds (to $36 million) in just three years. Most high profile successful companies like Ford, Intel, and Gap etc have been spurred to see the impact that they are having on the environment and human rights. If children working in small claustrophobic sweatshops, pregnant women working long hours and hundreds crammed into a small room making expensive shoes that cost hundreds dollars for a few cents an hour are the few things that upset you maybe you should look at the Domini 400 social index before you invest in the company. The index not only stays clear of companies involved in betting, boozing, tobacco, and nuclear power but also sees the company’s gauges its employees. Trying to make a small change, Amy stands all and proud as one of the only women who quite literally put her money where her mouth is.

CEO of Olayan Financing company a consortium of some 40 odd companies and a member of the Saudi Hollandi bank’s board, Lubna Olayan was the first woman in Saudi Arabia to be appointed to such a position in a Saudi public company. She made history addressing the Jeddah economic forum as the keynote speaker in 2004 and co chairing the world economic forum 2005 in Switzerland. Lubna’s achievements remind us that it only takes one person to turn the tide. Even today she continues to break barriers and perceptions. She has shown that Saudi women (or for that matter most Arab women) can manage more than just households. Since the day, Lubna’s veil slipped off during her address at the Jeddah economic forum last year, it seemed to have also removed the veil from the general public eyes, showing the power of a liberated woman’s mind.

Some other noteworthy women are Meg Whitman, CEO, Ebay who has taken her company from success to success with her vision. Sonia Gandhi, the Italian born Indian, who controls the Prime Minister’s office in India as the president of the working committee of the ruling Party, Congress (I). The highest paid actress Julia Roberts, the trailblazing superstar also one of the first woman to break the Hollywood norm and get paid as much as her male counterparts.

The list of trend setting women in various fields is endless. It just goes to show even though women have a long way to go as far as erasing the gender gap, it just seems that the horizon keeps coming closer.

Beauty pageants and the Indian Culture

How long are we going to we going to beat our chests and protest against beauty pageants as a pagan ritual for showcasing women as objects. It is the mindset of the people that has to change and no amount of protesting can do that.

A protest cannot herald a change. The change has to come from within. Participation in a beauty contest is a personal choice, both of the parents and that of the girl herself. If we want to protest at such pageants then why do we idol worship a Sushmita Sen and an Aishwarya Rai, who bring home international acclaim? Why is Mallika Sherawat considered sexy (I don’t think so but my tradition respecting mother does. )

Everywhere around us we see the hypocrisy - of people - the obsession with beauty without a thought to what lies beneath the surface. Pick up the Sunday supplement – Matrimonial Times of the Times of India and scan the pages to see the attributes people look for in mates these days - slim, beautiful, tall girl. How is this criterion any different from the selection criteria of a beauty pageant? Effectively we have turned even the simple match making process into a selection procedure for a beauty contest.

No one is more to blame that us. We are major contributors to this phenomenon. Every time we pick up a fairness cream or a magazine with a beautiful face on the cover we are endorsing the view that beauty is all that matters. I mean how many magazines have you picked up in the last year that had Ravina Raj Kohli’s face on it or which was the last advertisement you saw which had Kiran Bedi endorsing a product (and would you be sufficiently motivated to try out the product). Or does the public even know who these women are in the first place. Our society has no place for achievers only for beautiful bodies and faces making the headline.

Sandra bullock in Ms. Congeniality - a classic example. When asked what she would like to see change in the world her heartfelt answer is met with a cold response as opposed to the ever popular ‘World Peace’ answer. Then there was Priyanka Chopra who misheard a question and parroted the politically correct answer ‘Mother Teresa’. No surprise that she won the crown inspite of that faux pas. This brings me to the one woman who we booed off stage when she did give a heartfelt answer – Madhu Sapre. When asked what she would like to change about her country, instead of the usual well rehearsed, ‘ Eradication of Poverty’ answer, she championed the cause of sports ( a fact I remember every four years when we have a dismal showing at the Olympics) She missed the crown but won a place my heart for sure, as someone who can speak her mind.

So instead of blaming the society and screaming yourself hoarse on the evils of pageants look deeper into the issue and I’m sure you will not like what you see. As for the traditions and culture of ancient India that you were talking about – Culture wise the kamasutra and the ancient temples along with a peek into the Ajanta and Ellora caves should be sufficient as a reminder.

Tradition - our tradition demands that a widow jump into her husband's funeral pyre.
Or can be a divorcee on the whimsical repetiton of 'Talaq'.
Or when young baby girls are left either in dumps or on hill tops to die.
or when parents seel their souls for money to marry off a young daughter.

Even religion and it interpretation can make you hang your head in shame -

The agni pariksha - or the four marraiges that men are allowed.

Really the issues if you want to cry hoarse about are a plenty

Just pick your with care.

Battle of the Bulge

Hello and thanks for stopping by. Now you have heard that phrase before, haven’t you? So have I. We belong to the subspecies ‘Fattus humongus’. We sit up and take notice every time a lifestyle magazine or an ad on the Internet tells us the ways to lose weight. But the minute the aroma of a freshly made chocolate donuts wafts in, the resolve to burn those calories wafts out. Indefinitely. That is till we see another one of those ads. The thing with us is that we are lazy. It’s as plain and simple as that. We want to wear those low-slung hipsters with the miniscule bikini tops but sadly don’t have the shape to carry it off. So what do we do? We sit and sulk. We sulk about not meeting the right men who would appreciate us for who we are, calling them superficial SOB’s. . The funny thing is that we abuse the temple that is our body and expect someone else to worship it. That’s not about to happen in this lifetime. No it a’int. We sulk about not finding the perfect dress in our sizes. We sulk for not getting that job or the big raise. And then we bury our faces in crepes with ‘extra’ nutella sauce and double scoops of ice cream.

When was the last time you saw a fashionably thin and reasonably healthy person at a fast food joint like Hardees and KFC? I presume you know the reason why. Water retention as a probable cause only counts for five days, what’s your excuse for the rest of the 25?

In the age of instant gratification, we always look for simpler and faster solutions to all our problems. Feel Hungry, pop in to pizza joint or better still grab some burgers. Need to travel around the block, get out the car. Why read the book, if it’s interesting someone will make a movie out of it? Effortless existence is a meaningless existence. That is not what you were looking to hear, were you? You were looking for a quick recipe for FIRM ABS. Well keep reading, I will get to that part in a bit. We look for quick easy and effective ways to shed the flab. Where in the sad fact is there aren’t any. You’re still reading this? Looking for a simple solution from this article, and me, is it? Well like I said earlier, there aren’t any.

Except things I have discovered along the path paved with many fad diets and exercise regimens. What I have discovered is extremely simple and the answer lies in looking inside you. Exploring reasons you put on that extra weight. Learning to visualise yourself as the healthy person you want to be and working towards it. That is one thing we lack, determination. Desire is the key to motivation, but it's determination and commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal - a commitment to excellence - that will enable you to attain the success you seek. Determination and perseverance move the world; thinking that others will do it for you is a sure way to fail. So move that Ass. Haul it outside and start walking. Begin with as little as 10 minutes a day and then keep increasing it. Work on building up your self-esteem. Learn to embrace your individuality and love yourself. Get a theme song like Ally in Ally McBeal. Do something, anything, except sit and mope around like a fat cow. Coz that’s really going to get you nowhere. I know, I belong to the ‘Fattus humongus’ subspecies too, remember.

Nothing and no one can help you unless you have the will and determination. Simple things like making a routine. Small things like deciding what you should and shouldn’t stock in your refrigerator, switching regular soda with diet soda, white bread with brown bread and walking till the grocer’s shop are things that will help. The other things that I have found helpful are waking up to a glass of lukewarm water with a little lemon and honey in it. Drinking grapefruit juice. Having a healthy breakfast, decent lunch and soups or salads for dinner. Search the Internet for the Atkins diet and follow it. Walking with the image of Beyonce doing ‘crazy in love’ in your mind. It needn’t be in the morning. I know I can’t walk early in the morning. I don’t even surface till about 7.30am when my office starts at 8 am. Take the time out when you are comfortable. You’ll be amazed how a quick walk interspersed with jogging can make you feel alive again. This, again, is not a quick fix solution. An hour of walking is minimum at least 4 to 5 days a week. Even a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. And the things I have spoken about here are not things you didn’t know about earlier. But they are the small things you didn’t put into practise. Why? What are you waiting for , CHRISTMAS?

It’s like getting a root canal done. The procedure is painful but it’s pure bliss afterwards. So in a month or two from now when you fit into these hot pants or swim in those jeans you are wearing now, drop me a line and we’ll exchange notes. Who knows I might even learn a thing or two from you.

P.S. Chocolate Doughnut anyone?

Confessions of a F1 Marshal’s Lonely Soul

Now that the last whistle is blown, last flag waved and even the last message on the observer channel is nothing but mere static, we try to come to grips with real life. The adrenalin rush had fooled us into believing we were on another plane. Is this what an alcoholic or a drug addict feels, the psychedelic ecstasy? Or is it purely the thrill of being alive, being a part of something every motor sport enthusiast dreams of.

The roar of the engines is fading fast but like the mother of a newborn baby, we don't want to let it go. Even as every muscle in our body aches, we try to get used to the peace and quiet of the antiseptic environment of our offices. We try real hard to behave normally, like we used to just 3 days ago but something within us has changed. As I look around the uninspired faces of my colleagues, I want to scream…

“This is not life, this is not we are meant to live.”

And all I am met with is stony indifference of the corporate environment.

My dear fellow marshals, my co-conspirators in various hare brained schemes, my knowing eyes and helping hands - I love you all… you have become a part of my heart. Each moment of the 12 hours that I spent with you every day is a memory I will carry with me forever. I know that we endured 49 degrees of hot sun without a shade, we slept on the hot road, we ate the horribly disgusting food but I also know we came out as stronger individuals. Those were the moments I truly LIVED, not existed but lived. I don’t know how long it will be before we meet again like this and share moments of true delight. Shed our inhibitions and let other human beings into our private space, into our sanctum sanctorum.

When I first met you, I was scared of most of you. You were my first brush with the youth of Bahrain. I harbored the many misconceptions that come with ignorance. If I had met any of you in a shopping mall, my footfalls would have become faster. At our first practice session at the BIC I didn’t even look some of you in the eye. Didn’t try to get to know any of you. By the time we began training with the Australians, I started recognizing your faces. A wave here, a smile there. We started getting familiar. By the time we collected our overalls & uniforms – I knew some names and some nicknames. Finally when the three-day marathon started I knew point 13.3 (originally point 13.6) you were the best of the best.

All the teasing and the flirting evaporated once the races began; the love for the sport transformed each one of us into a professional. Standing for 2 hours in the 52-degree hot sun, without cribbing or losing our concentration was the true test of our resilience. The highlight of the whole event being the Jordan car stopping right opposite our point
(Let me admit before my friends let the cat out of the bag, that I was enjoying the hospitality of a nice boundary rider who was bringing me back from the medical center, so I missed that bit of action).

And now as life begins to fall into that known predictable pattern, I miss getting up at 4.30 to get to Isa town at 5 and see your familiar faces again, I miss your silly jokes that went on non-stop for the next 12 hours. I love all the little eccentricities that made you unique and special. And now that I finally look at myself in the mirror I know something binds us and its not just the rays of the sun that have tanned us a shade darker... it more, much more - its something nameless and faceless but its also something very very strong.

The Grand Experience

The rains in Spain may stay mainly on the plains but in Bahrain, I walk around with my own rain cloud.. of happiness i mean.

Marshalling at the F1 wasnt one of my dreams. I didnt even really know what it meant.
I never really cared about Motor sports much either.
I just knew some of the facts and figures as a part of my ' dont act so dumb ' campaign.
So thankfully before the Grand Prix came to Bahrain, I knew who Shumey was.

My primary motive was to be in the only event that was really making 'Bahrain' happen.

It is such a buzz meeting new and interesting people, widening my circle of acquaintances.. its like being like the Beatles say' Free as a bird'. Euphoria that comes with achievement or just enjoyment , is it?

My ability to say the right thing at the right thing or have a quick comeback to most things is coming back.

Now I wouldnt as i always do - attribute this to any one person... except myself. I am falling in love again- with myself .. my own identity that i am beginning to discover. It feels like the time i joined Mirchi.

The real thrill is the anticipation.

Incidentally yesterday I actually got plastered after a long time. The place was beautiful..

Hovering between heaven and hell..
light and dark
Solid and fluid
Land and Sea.

I can sit here and lose myself.

Dream

or just taking in the ambience of the place ...

A breathful of sea air and sounds of the sea

Calming and Pure..

the darkness of the sea adds to the darkness of the hut.

sparkling bubbly and intoxicating conversation.

There is so much on offer, so much to see.

Only if i keep walking till the soles of my shoes run out and then some..

atleast that way when i hang my boots they will tell the tale of a life well lived.

On the Gravestone etched the words will resonate :

Here lies She
But dont come looking
she probably off already
on another journey.

A brand new day...

I feels so free.

It feels like a new beginning when things are falling into prespective. I dont know anyone here - at my new work place, yet.

New. Weird. Surreal.

Someone else's sitting inside my body , on a new well adjusting chair.

The comfort zone is gone and somehow i dont feel the need for it too.

Wonderfully uplifting.

Feeling of living again, not existing but truly living , without dragging my soul behind me.

Its funny what a ride life takes you on. Throwing up something utterly unexpected, totally new , totally exciting.

A big 'Thank You' to the Powers that be - Thank You - for the Faith.

Somehow Sangram's line keeps floating into my mind - Keep the Faith.

So simple but so hard to follow.. Keep the Faith.

Sometimes you hold on to the line for eternity, like a line on a sinking boat.

But you see there is no need if you really believe it.

It's what keeps me - like Celine Dion says - I'M ALIVE ..

Debatable fact or pure fiction?

WAS HITLER A ROTHSCHILD?

Official history is merely a veil to hide the truth of what really happened. When the veil is lifted, again and again we see that not only is the official version not true, it is often 100% wrong.
Take the Rothschilds, the bloodline formerly known, among other names, as the Bauers, one of the most notorious black occult bloodlines of Middle Ages Germany. It became known as Rothschild (red-shield or rotes-schild in German) in the 18th century when a financial dynasty was founded in Frankfurt by Mayer Amschel Rothschild working in league with the Illuminati House of Hesse and others. They took their name from the red shield or hexagram/Star of David on the front of their house in Frankfurt. The Star of David or Seal of Solomon is an ancient esoteric symbol and only became associated with Jewish people after the Rothschilds adopted it for themselves. It has absolutely no connection to "David" or "Solomon", as Jewish historical sources confirm. The Rothschilds are one of the top Illuminati bloodlines on the planet and they are shape-shifting reptilians (see The Biggest Secret).
Guy de Rothschild, of the French House, heads this bloodline dynasty today. He is one of the most grotesque exponents of trauma-based mind control, indeed the top man according to many of those who have suffered mercilessly under his torture. I am always loath to use the world evil, but if evil is the reverse of live, Guy de Rothschild is thoroughly evil. He stands for the opposite of life. He has been personally responsible for the torture and death of millions of children and adults, either directly or through those he controls. He conducts satanic rituals, as all these bloodlines have always done, and goodness knows how many human sacrifices he has been involved in.
If what I am saying is wrong, Guy de Rothschild, then take me to court and lets reveal the evidence. You are a multi-billionaire and you control the courts and the media. I have next to nothing. I should, therefore, be a pushover. So come on, Mr. Rothschild, lets have you. Lets take these claims into the public arena and have you and me in the witness box. Make my day.
Already I can hear the clamour gathering to condemn me as "anti-Semitic" because the Rothschilds claim to be "Jewish." Organisations like the Anti-Defamation League and B'nai B'rith have already made strenuous efforts to label me in this way for exposing the Rothschilds and to stop me speaking in public. (See elsewhere on this website) How funny then that both organisations were created by, and continue to be bankrolled by, the Rothschilds. Just a co-incidence, nothing to worry about. B'nai Brith means, appropriately, "Sons of the Alliance" and was established by the Rothschilds in 1843 as an intelligence arm and to defame and destroy legitimate researchers with the label "anti Semitic." Many of their speakers openly supported slavery during the American Civil War and today they seek to condemn some black leaders as "anti-Semitic" or "racist! Every year, the Anti Defamation League award their "Torch of Liberty" (the classic Illuminati symbol) to the person they believe has served their cause the most. One year they gave it to Morris Dalitz, an intimate of the notorious Meyer Lansky crime syndicate which terrorised America. Perfect choice.
Of course, the strength of feeling that fans the flames of condemnation against anyone dubbed "anti-Semitic" today is the sickening persecution of Jewish people by the Nazis of Adolf Hitler. To expose or question the actions of the Rothschilds or any other Jewish person or organisation is to be called a "nazi" and "anti-Semitic", that all-encompassing label which has discredited so many researchers and stopped them having the opportunity to speak in public because of protest by unthinking robot radicals and the refusal of venues to host their meetings. I have had this from time to time, not least in eastern Canada thanks to a campaign by B'nai B'rith and the Anti-Defamation League (which spends it's entire time trying to defame people). Both organisations, I repeat, are Rothschild created and controlled.
How strange then, that as I have documented in And The Truth Shall Set You Free and The Biggest Secret, along with endless other researchers and scholars, Adolf Hitler and the Nazis were created and funded by the Rothschilds. It was they who arranged for Hitler to come to power through the Illuminati secret societies in Germany like the Thule Society and the Vril Society which they created through their German networks; it was the Rothschilds who funded Hitler through the Bank of England and other British and American sources like the Rothschild's Kuhn, Loeb, bank which also funded the Russian Revolution.
The very heart of Hitler's war machine was the chemical giant, I.G. Farben, which had an American arm that was controlled by the Rothschilds through their lackeys, the Warburgs. Paul Warburg, who manipulated into existence the privately-owned "central bank" of America, the Federal Reserve, in 1913, was on the board of American I.G. Indeed Hitler's I.G. Farben, which ran the slave labour camp at Auschwitz, was, in reality, a division of Standard Oil, officially owned by the Rockefellers, but in truth the Rockefeller empire was funded into existence by the Rothschilds. See And The Truth Shall Set You Free and The Biggest Secret for the detailed background of this and other aspects of this story. The Rothschilds also owned the German news agencies during both World Wars and thus controlled the flow of "information" to Germans and the outside world. Incidentally, when Allied troops entered Germany they found that the I.G. Farben factories, the very core of Hitler's war operation, had not been hit by the mass bombing and neither had Ford factories - another Illuminati supporter of Hitler. Other factories nearby had been demolished by bombing raids.
So the force behind Adolf Hitler, on behalf of the Illuminati, was the House of Rothschild, this "Jewish" bloodline which claims to support and protect the Jewish faith and people. In fact they use and sickeningly abuse the Jewish people for their own horrific ends. The Rothschilds, like the Illuminati in general, treat the mass of the Jewish people with utter contempt. They are, like the rest of the global population, just cattle to be used to advance the agenda of global control and mastery by a network of interbreeding bloodlines, impregnated with a reptilian genetic code, and known to researchers as the Illuminati.
Indeed, the Illuminati are so utterly obsessed with bloodline, because of this reptilian genetic code, that there was no way that someone like Hitler would come to power in those vital circumstances for the Illuminati, unless he was of the reptilian bloodline. If you look elsewhere on this website you will see how the same bloodline has held the positions of royal, aristocratic, financial, political, military, and media power in the world for literally thousands of years. This is the bloodline that has produced ALL 42 of the Presidents of the United States since and including George Washington in 1789. It is the bloodline of the runaway favourite to win the 2000 election, George W. Bush. The World War Two leaders, Roosevelt, Churchill, and Stalin, were of the bloodline and also Freemasons and Satanists. They were manipulated into office, and their country's war effort funded, by the Rothschilds and the other Illuminati bloodlines.
So are we to believe, therefore, that although this same group provably funded Adolf Hitler's rise to power and his war machine, that he would be the odd one out, a leader of crucial importance to the agenda who was NOT bloodline?
But hold on. Hitler couldn't be the same bloodline as, say, the Rothschilds because, as we all know, the Rothschilds are defenders of Jewish people and Hitler slaughtered them, along with communists and gypsies and others who opposed him or he wanted to eliminate. The Rothschilds are Jewish, they'd never do that.
Oh really.
According to a book by a psychoanalyst, Walter Langer, called The Mind of Hitler, not only was Hitler supported by the Rothschilds, he WAS a Rothschild. This revelation fits like a glove with the actions of the Rothschilds and other Illuminati bloodlines in Germany who brought Hitler to the fore as dictator of that nation. He was also supported by the British Royal Family, the House of Windsor (in truth the German House of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha), and these included the British royal "war hero", Lord Mountbatten, a Rothschild and a Satanist. Their royal relatives in Germany, who you would never have thought would normally support an apparent guy from the street like Hitler, were among his most enthusiastic supporters. But, of course, they knew who he really was. There is no way in the world when you do any study of the Illuminati obsession with bloodline that Hitler would not have been one of them. Langer writes:
"Adolf's father, Alois Hitler, was the illegitimate son of Maria Anna Schicklgruber. It was generally supposed that the father of Alois Hitler (Schicklgruber) was Johann Georg Hiedler. There are some people who seriously doubt that Johann Georg Hiedler was the father of Alois (an Austrian document was) prepared that proved Maria Anna Schicklgruber was living in Vienna at the time she conceived. At that time she was employed as a servant in the home of Baron Rothschild. As soon as the family discovered her pregnancy she was sent back home..where Alois was born."
Langer's information came from the high level Gestapo officer, Hansjurgen Koehler, published in 1940, under the title "Inside the Gestapo". He writes about the investigations into Hitler's background carried out by the Austrian Chancellor, Dolfuss, in the family files of Hitler.
Koehler actually viewed a copy of the Dolfuss documents which were given to him by Heydrich, the overlord of the Nazi Secret Service. The file, he wrote, "caused such havoc as no file in the world ever caused before" (Inside the Gestapo, p 143). He also revealed that:
"..The second bundle in the blue file contained the documents collected by Dolfuss. The small statured, but big-hearted Austrian Chancellor must have known by such a personal file he might be able to check Hitler His task was not difficult; as ruler of Austria he could easily find out about the personal data and family of Adolf Hitler, who had been born on Austrian soil...Through the original birth certificates, police registration cards, protocols, etc., all contained in the original file, the Austrian Chancellor succeeded in piecing together the disjointed parts of the puzzle, creating a more or less logical entity..
A little servant girl (Hitler's grandmother) came to Vienna and became a domestic servant, mostly working for rather rich families. But she was unlucky; having been seduced, she was about to bear a child. She went home to her village for her confinement Where was the little maid serving in Vienna? This was not a very difficult problem. Very early Vienna had instituted the system of compulsory police registration. Both servants and the employers were exposed to heavy fines if they neglected this duty. Chancellor Dolfuss managed to discover the registration card. The little, innocent maid had been a servant at the Rothschild mansion. ..and Hitler's unknown grandfather must be probably looked for in this magnificent house. The Dolfuss file stopped at this statement."
Was Hitler's determination to take over Austria anything to do with his desire to destroy records of his lineage?
A correspondent who has extensively researched this subject writes:
"It appears to me that Hitler knew about his connection long before his Chancellorship. Like his father before him, when the going got rough, the Hitlers went to Vienna. Hitler's father left his home village at an early age to seek his fortune in Vienna. When Hitler was orphaned, after his mother died in December of 1907, he left for Vienna not long after the funeral. There he seemed to drop out of sight for ten months! What happened during this ten-month stay in Vienna is a complete mystery on which history sheds no light. It makes sense, now that it has become established that Hitler was a Rothschild, that he and his cousins were getting acquainted, and his potential for future family endeavours was being sized up".
The Rothschilds and the Illuminati produce many offspring out of wedlock in their secret breeding programmes and these children are brought up under other names with other parents. Like Bill Clinton, who is almost certainly a Rockefeller produced in the same way, these "ordinary kids from ordinary backgrounds" go on to be extraordinarily successful in their chosen field. Hitler, too, would have produced unofficial children to maintain his strand of the bloodline and there will obviously be people of his bloodline alive today.
So which Rothschild was the grandfather of Hitler? My thanks to a website correspondent for the additional, updated, information to this article, a man has researched this story in some detail. Alois, Hitler's father, was born in 1837 in the period when Salomon Mayer was the only Rothschild who lived at the Vienna mansion. Even his wife did not live there because their marriage was so bad that she stayed in Frankfurt. Their son, Anselm Salomon spent most of his working life in Paris and Frankfurt away from Vienna and his father.
Father Salomon Mayer, living alone at the Vienna mansion where Hitler's grandmother worked, is the prime, most obvious candidate. And Hermann von Goldschmidt, the son of Salomon Mayer's senior clerk, wrote a book, published in 1917, which said of Salomon:
" by the 1840s he had developed a somewhat reckless enthusiasm for young girls.."
and
"He had a lecherous passion for very young girls, his adventures with whom had to be hushed up by the police."
And Hitler's grandmother, a young girl working under the same roof would not have been the subject of Salomon's desire? And this same girl became pregnant while working there? And her grandson becomes the Chancellor of Germany, funded by the Rothschilds, and he started the Second World War which was so vital to the Rothschild-Illuminati agenda? And the Illuminati are obsessed with putting their bloodlines into power on all "sides" in a conflict? And the Rothschilds are one of their most key bloodlines? And it is all a co-incidence?
HITLER WAS A ROTHSCHILD!!
The Second World War was incredibly productive for the Illuminati agenda of global control. It led to an explosion of globally-centralised institutions, like the United Nations and the European Community, now Union, and many others in finance, business, and the military. Precisely what they wanted. It also put countries under an enormous burden of debt on loans provided to all sides by...the Rothschilds and the Illuminati.
The Rothschilds had long had a plan to create a personal fiefdom for themselves and the Illuminati in Palestine and that plan involved manipulating Jewish people to settle the area as their "homeland." Charles Taze Russell, of the Illuminati-reptilian Russell bloodline, was the man who founded the Watchtower Society, better known as the Jehovah's Witnesses. He was a Satanist, a paedophile according to his wife, and most certainly Illuminati. His new "religion (mind-control cult) was funded by the Rothschilds and he was a friend of theirs, just like the founders of the Mormons who were also Rothschild-funded through Kuhn, Loeb, and Co. Russell and the Mormon founders were all Freemasons. In 1880, Charles Taze Russell, this friend of the Rothschilds, predicted that the Jews would return to their homeland. It was about the only prediction Russell ever got right. Why? Because he knew that was the plan. He wrote to the Rothschilds praising their efforts to establish a Jewish homeland in Palestine.
Then, in 1917, came the famous Balfour Declaration, when the British Foreign Minister, Lord Balfour, stated on behalf of his government that they supported the creation of a Jewish homeland in Palestine. Now when you hear that phrase, the Balfour Declaration, you get the feeling that it was some kind of statement or public announcement. But not so.
The Balfour declaration was a letter from Lord Balfour to Lord Lionel Walter Rothschild. Researchers say that the letter was in fact WRITTEN by Lord Rothschild and his employee, the banker, Alfred Milner. Now get this. One of the most important secret societies of the 20th century is called the Round Table. It is based in Britain with branches across the world. It is the Round Table that ultimately orchestrates the network of the Bilderberg Group, Council on Foreign Relations, Trilateral Commission and the Royal Institute of International Affairs. See my books for details. How fascinating then, that Lord Balfour was an inner circle member of the Round Table, Alfred Milner was the Round Table's official leader after the death of Cecil Rhodes, and the Round Table was funded by..Lord Lionel Walter Rothschild. These were the very three people involved in the Balfour Declaration of 1917.
Two years later, in 1919, came the Versailles Peace Conference near Paris when the elite of the Round Table from Britain and the United States, people like Alfred Milner, Edward Mandel House, and Bernard Baruch, were appointed to represent their countries at the meetings which decided how the world would be changed as a result of the war these same people had created. They decided to impose impossible reparations payments on Germany, so ensuring the collapse of the post-war Weimar Republic amid unbelievable economic collapse and thus create the very circumstances that brought the Rothschild, Hitler, to power. It was while in Paris that these Illuminati, Round Table, members met at the Hotel Majestic to begin the process of creating the Bilderberg-CFR-RIIA-Trilateral Commission network. They also decided at Versailles that they now all supported the creation of a Jewish homeland in Palestine. As I show in my books, EVERY ONE of them was either a Rothschild bloodline or was controlled by them.
The American President, Woodrow Wilson, was "advised" at Versailles by Colonel House and Bernard Baruch, both Rothschild clones and leaders of the Round Table in the United States; The British Prime Minister, Lloyd George, was "advised" by Alfred Milner, Rothschild employee and Round Table leader, and Sir Phillip Sassoon, a direct decendent of Mayer Amschel Rothschild, the founder of the dynasty; The French leader, Georges Clemenceau, was "advised" by his Minister for the Interior, Georges Mandel, whose real name was Jeroboam Rothschild.
Who do you think was making the decisions here??
But it went further. Also in the American delegation were the Dulles brothers, John Foster Dulles, who would become US Secretary of State, and Allen Dulles, who would become first head of the new CIA after World War Two. The Dulles brothers were bloodline, would later be supporters of Hitler, and were employed by the Rothschilds at Kuhn, Loeb, and Co. They were also involved in the assassination of John F. Kennedy and Allen Dulles would serve on the Warren Commission which investigated the assassination. The American delegation at Versailles was also represented by the Rothschild-controlled, Paul Warburg, of Kuhn, Loeb and the American branch of I.G. Farben, while the German delegation included his brother, Max Warburg, who would become Hitler's banker!! Their host in France during the "peace" conference was Baron Edmond de Rothschild, the leading force at the time pressing for the creation of a Jewish homeland in Israel. See my books for fine detail.
The Rothschilds have always been the true force behind the Zionist Movement. Zionism is in facr SIONism, Sion = the Sun, hence the name of the elite secret society behind the Merovingian bloodline, the Priory of Sion. Contrary to most people's understanding, Zionism is not the Jewish people. Many Jews are not Zionists and many non-Jews are. Zionism is a political movement, not a race. To say Zionism is the Jewish people is like saying the Democratic Party is the American people. Jewish people who oppose Zionism, however, have been given a very hard time.
Now, having manipulated their puppet-governments to support their plan for a personal fiefdom in the Middle East, the Rothschilds began the process of settling Jewish people in Palestine. As always they treated their own people with contempt. Enter Baron Edmond de Rothschild, the "Father of Israel", who died in 1934, the man who hosted the Versailles "peace" delegations. Edmond was from the French House, like Guy de Rothschild. Edmond, in fact, began to settle Jews in Palestine as far back as the 1880s (when Charles Taze Russell was making his prediction). He financed Russian Jews to establish settlements in Palestine, but it was nothing to do with their freedom or birthright, it was to advance the Rothschild-Illuminati agenda. Edmond financed the creation of farms and factories and ran the whole operation with a rod of iron. The Jewish farmers were told what to grow and they soon found out who was in charge if they questioned his orders. In 1901, these Jewish people complained to Rothschild about this dictatorship over their settlement or "Yishuv". They asked him:
"..if you wish to save the Yishuv, first take your hands from it, and for once permit the colonists to have the possibility of correcting for themselves whatever needs correcting.."
Baron Rothschild replied:
"I created the Yishuv, I alone. Therefore no men, neither colonists nor organisations, have the right to interfere in my plans.."
In one sentence, you have the true attitude of the Rothschilds to Jewish people, and indeed, the human population in general. These people are NOT Jews, they are a non-human bloodline with a reptilian genetic code who hide behind the Jewish people and use them as a screen and a means to an end. According to Simon Schama's book, Two Rothschilds and the Land of Israel (Collins, London, 1978), the Rothschilds acquired 80% of the land of Israel.
Edmond de Rothschild worked closely with Theodore Herzl, who just happened to be the founder of Zionism, the political movement created to ensure a "Jewish" homeland in Palestine. Rothschild was also the power behind Chaim Weizmann, another leader of Zionism. As Rothschild told Weizmann:
"Without me Zionism would not have succeeded, but without Zionism my work would have been stuck to death."
So now with the Rothschilds increasing their financing of Jewish settlements in Palestine, and with their agents in governments officially supporting their plans for a Rothschild, sorry Jewish, homeland, they needed a catalyst which would demolish Arab protests at the take-over of their country. That catalyst was the horrific treatment of Jews in Germany and the countries they conquered by the Rothschild-funded Nazis and one of their own, a Rothschild called Adolf Hitler.
The wave of revulsion at the Nazi concentration camps gave vital and, in the end, crucial impetus to the Rothschild agenda. It was they who funded the Jewish terrorist operations like the Stern Gang and Irgun, which committed mayhem and murder to bring the State of Rothschild (Israel) into being in 1948. These terrorist groups, who slaughtered Jewish people with equal enthusiasm, were led by the very people who later rose to lead the new Israel people like Menachem Begin, David Ben-Gurion, Yitzhak Rabin, and Yitzhak Shamir. It was these Rothschild-controlled Zionist gangs who murdered the international mediator Count Bernadotte on September 17, 1948, apparently because he had been intending to present a new partition resolution to the United Nations.
And the Rothschilds were not satisfied with causing the unimaginable suffering of Jewish people under the Nazis, they also stole their wealth when the war was over, just as they stole the Russian wealth during the revolution they had financed.
In early 1998, during a speaking tour of South Africa, I had a personal meeting with P.W. Botha, the apartheid President of South Africa during the 1980s. The invitation came out of the blue when I was speaking a few miles from his home. We spoke for an hour and a half about the manipulation of South Africa and it was not long before names like Henry Kissinger, Lord Carrington, and the Rothschilds came up.
"I had some strange dealings with the English Rothschilds in Cape Town when I was president", he said, and he went on to tell me a story that sums up the Rothschilds so perfectly. He said they had asked for a meeting with him and his foreign minister, the Illuminati operative, Pik Botha (no relation). At that meeting, he said, the Rothschilds told him there was massive wealth in Swiss bank accounts which once belonged to German Jews and it was available for investment in South Africa if they could agree an interest rate. This is the very wealth, stolen from German Jews who suffered under the Nazis, which has come to light amid great scandal in recent years. The Rothschilds have been making a fortune from it since the war!! Botha told me he refused to accept the money, but Pik Botha left the meeting with the Rothschilds and he could not be sure that they did not come to some arrangement.
Breathtaking? Of course it is, but the world is not how we think it is.
To this day the Rothschilds continue to control the State that has their family symbol on it's flag and it is they who use that country and its people to maintain the conflict, both within its borders and with surrounding Arab countries, which has allowed the Illuminati-Rothschilds to control their so called "Arc of Crisis" in the Middle East through divide, rule, and conquer. It has allowed them, not least, to control the oil-producing countries since the war when the oil really came on line.

A part of something i started a long time back but havent gotten around to finishing.

Leave Me Be

The dead stinking carcass lay in a pool of blood, maggots and flies swarming all over it. It was terrible to even look at, as Sergeant Henkley found out. A concerned newspaper delivery boy had found the body after enduring the stink coming from the house for 2 days he had decided something was definitely wrong. It wasn’t as if the old Mrs. Day was a very social person, he only saw her every other month when he forgot leave a receipt for the newspapers. The newspaper money was left every month in the mailbox in a manila envelope. But this time the stench and the curiosity got better of the boy and he peeped into the house. Seeing a droopy head with the flies all over, he first called the cops and then broke into the house.

The scene of the crime, inspite of the break in by the newspaper boy, was well preserved. Sergeant Henkley had seen too many of these kind of crime scenes so he was used to the smell but the boy had not stopped retching since he had opened the door.

This crime scene wasn’t like the others, which is what started intriguing Sergeant Henkley. There was your usual blood and gore but in the grimy dingy house, there was a layer of dust. It looked like this murderer wanted to make sure that he was noticed. A very obvious impression on the sofa opposite the body. A glass half filled with alcohol. It was as though the killer was toying with the minds of the cops, willing them to find him.

Things slowly starting registering in Henkley’s mind. With all the cold obviousness of a brutal killer, this one was smart as well; he thought to himself. “No fingerprints or DNA to be found here”. But the squad had arrived , the men were trying to find finger prints , palm prints, anything unusual .Sometimes something very small which doesn’t seem to be important holds a key to the answer, which is why the police photographers were photographing the gruesome crime scene.

Feeling he was just an obstruction to the systematic procedure, Henkley left the scene and just drove around in the car; a long drive always cleared his mind. In slow motion he went over each aspect of the crime scene. The old woman whose hands had been cut in a weird pattern, nakedness of the wrinkled body and the precise cuts from the cracked skull all the way to the vagina and back to the starting point. Razor sharp thin line with streaks of blood flowing down. Though the cuts were thin they were deep, cutting through the tissue, muscles all the way to the bone. But the old woman’s hands were not tied as he couldn’t see obvious rope or wire marks on the wrist. “This woman died slowly and painfully, the loss of blood was very gradual,” thought Sgt. Henkley.

The autopsy was being done by Dr. Rivers, known to be one of the more methodic coroners, but this time Sgt. Henkley felt that half his work was done. Dr. Rivers took his own sweet time, though it was an ordeal for him too. But his findings astonished even him.

Clay Feet

To see a friend fall victim to the lure of alcohol again in again is as depressing as it gets. For a person you respect, for his ideals , logic and the way his lives his life… when he is sober, kills a little part of you as well. And then he turns around and asks you why you are helping him in the first place. Because its your need to be needed by him. I could argue till I am blue in the face but it would make no difference to him . Because it’s not him any more. It a weak being impersonating a friend who has make me find me. A creative genius in the world of advertising is being eaten away by his desperate need for alcohol. They say to be an advertising creative poster boy you have to let the child in you lose. But my friend has always been a child in his mind, I refuse to believe so, but that is what he claims is the truth. The clarity of his vision and his logic make me believe him. Then every time he is romancing death with alcohol why am I so concerned? Would it matter to me if he died as a result of over poisoning his body and mind? Would it matter to me if he killed himself in this suicidal daze? The answer is yes but a very selfish yes. He adds tremendously to my sense of life. He makes me feel 10 feet tall because I know him, and because I love him. He’s been there when Aditya went astray, he’s been there when I couldn’t find my way , he has been there when I quit my job. An unquestioned hug and unrelenting sermon on self-realisation. But more that his presence makes me believe that there is more to life and I have more to discover in this life.
There is nothing in the outside world that is going wrong for him, he earns a cool BD3000 tax free, he has a house, and has found someone special to get married to .. so on the outside there is nothing wrong … but I wonder what’s going on in his mind. I have called someone from AA who would in a better position than me to understand this and help him. I hope in some way I could be of more help but this time around I can’t I just can’t. I have done all I can except one last thing. I pray to the lord above to help my friend find his feet again. Because my idol placed on that pedestal can’t have feet of clay.

Grown ups are too correct. Advertising isn't !

There's nothing adult about Aamir Khan in Coke. There's nothing grown upabout the Hutch ad. There's nothing correct about Alpenliebe Lollipop'Lagey Raho'. Or the Fevicol Bus. Or, for that matter, the Cancer Association's 'dead horse' hoardings. These ideas come from the 'child' state. The thinkers and creators behind these ads haven't grown up. (At least, when they created these ads.) Which is why their work is so enjoyable andso memorable. The problem with grown ups is that they have already grown up. So they havenowhere to go.Growing up is different from grown up. The difference is that growing up isan excited state of becoming. While grown up is an inert state of havingarrived.Grown ups throw cocktail parties so that the drink gives them a legitimatereason to be kids again. When they wake up, they grow up really fast. (theylove that, don't they.)Growing up is all about play. Like most creative activities, it's about kicking things around. If you are not playing, you are a mere spectator. Anarmchair adult. "Full of fury, signifying nothing."Once you stop playing, you end up evaluating. That's the adult game. Youbecome a referee or an umpire. Which is why judges are good for courts, notfor advertising. The heads of some of India's largest agencies have stopped playing. Whichis probably why their agencies have nowhere to go.These whitewashed men in full suits who present their case on slick laptopshave forgotten what it means to be growing up.So how do we keep 'play' alive? At rmg david, this is part of the early training that strips us of our fearof embarrassment. You've got to resign when you join rmg david. Resign from adulthood. Hope Vs. Grounded Reality

When you start to hope,
you are focusing again,
on the future.
Future that is mere speculation. So what are we actually doing is speculating...

To be grounded in reality
is what we believe we are doing
But we believe in our head to be reality
Isn't!
The beauty , the intelligence
in competence, the ugliness
the manipulation, the hatred
all al images of how we want ourselves to be

Sometimes our own photographs disappoint us
It's very different from what we see ourselves as ..
inour mind's eye but the point here also is,
a photograph cant capture the true essence of a person.
And i should know!
I look at a recent photograph
and see all that it didnt capture
the sadness in my eyes,
the pensiveness of the smile
the 'I can do this' and 'why am i here' in the raise of my brow.
It doesnt capture the freedom of my spirit.

It captures me in all my contriteness...
ok i know i kind of lost the message of this message somewhere along the line ... but there always a next time

Hope!

Sometimes when we are blue, something small something abstract something unrelated can pick us up. Just today , some things were making me kind a blue. Work and the lack of it, the memach ogilvy - Peter Holt thing. and then the nagging pressure of shaadi.

Ok enough of bhuoomika building and to the point - these two clients fo mine , who i was meeting for lion's club brochure came to office. the woman would keep calling the man sweety , I felt happy seeing such a cute friendship , such openness in relationships. Now the guy is a banker i know but i didnt know what the woman did? I was sure they were not husband and wife as they had different surnames. and then the woman said something about her maiden name not being changed on her documents yet .. they were married and made such a cute pair . the guy was goan and the woman a punjabi. that what ia m looking for mabe that feeling of happiness, the feeling of being loved , cherished and respected which comes from the companionship... life looms large with so many questions.. questions i dont know the answers to .but like i was telling shilpa, what ever happens happens for the best.. and apart of me disagrees saying that i am just being well escapist in saying that. I just know that i am about to get lucky soon - and luck is when preparation meets opportunity. i am here. I am prepared , just waiting for the opportunity. On a different note, when we say - Lakhonmein ek ladka chahiye, and then wan to grab the first interesting fellow. it just goes to say that you want the best for you but are not willing to scan through a lakh of them to find that lakhon mein ek... well the profile stats say 3500 in 15 days and still counting so there is still hope that this year the lakh should be up.. ohh gosh here i go - rambling again.. anyways till next time this is Dreamcatcher.. till i see u next , live life Queensize!

Reach out . . .

From the Depth of Lunacy
An atom of normalcy
In the sustained effort to smile
A tear is trapped inside

Clearing the cobwebs inside the mind
To find the purpose of life
Wishing… hoping… dreaming…
Not persevering …working… go getting..
Believing all the While that I have something unique without any effort to build up on the foundation nature provided me with…
Unconcerted effort resulting in an unmelodic symphony

Then from the depth of the shallow ocean
A fountain of coherence
Through the static white noise
A burst of relevance
In a series of steps leading no where,
From a single step
The distant seems near
Graspable and within reach
Nothing is faraway anymore

Somehow I have come to believe
Maybe it’s the trial & error existence
Impulsiveness that has found the Soul once more
The more you find yourself
The inner peace…
The strength to let go …
The quiet determination …
And seek no more

And suddenly the mind feels lighter
Like the boulder has gone
The world takes you in its arms
And peace fills your soul
And the next crossroads
You find someone
You didn’t expect to meet,
But knew you would someday

Window Shopping for a Husband

Imagine walking down the streets buck naked, trying to pretend everything is normal when everything inside you is crashing. That is exactly how I felt naked, dejected and extremely uncomfortable as I created a profile for myself on the popular Indian Matrimonial site Shaadi.com. I had always held the belief that a matrimonial or, for that matter, even a dating website was a place for losers. What kind of person could not even find love in the real world. I had never imagined I would figure in the statistics, that the site uses in its ads to describe its popularity. 26, in love and about to get engaged, life couldn't have looked rosier. But like Arthur Schopenhauer said, " Whatever fate befalls you, do not give way to great rejoicing or great lamentation... All things in life are full of change, and your fortunes may turn at any moment." And that is exactly what happened. But youth has its fallacies and mine was backing the wrong horse. After a week of constant parental pressure, there I was, window-shopping for eligible bachelors at Shaadi.com. Writing about myself, my long term goals, partner expectations and family background in 500 words felt like a betrayal of self. It made sense but the words had no soul. Reluctantly I uploaded an old passport photograph and was finally ready to check my options. When I think about it now, there are traces of Hindu mythology in the method I have resorted to find myself a groom. Princesses in the mythological times held something called a 'syamwar' or 'Groom for self ' All the princes belonging to a particular caste, falling in a particular age bracket, were invited to the princess' kingdom. They were given a difficult task to accomplish. Whosoever completed the task following the rules would be the groom. What the site required me to do was something similar, pick the age bracket, the caste I wanted him to belong to, specify the qualifications I wanted him to possess etcetera etcetera. Hell, I could even select the part of world I wanted him to be in. All this along with my interests, hobbies, choice of cuisines goes into my profile under the heading 'My shaadi'. Now I was all set to 'Partner Search'. Entering a few key words can open up a world of opportunity. My mom, sitting right besides me wanted me to look up all the engineers of my caste. As I predicted the match threw up all sorts of weirdoes, some of whom had even provided pictures of themselves. The profile I had slaved over, trying to make a good, honest impression on someone who managed to find my profile while browsing by, was either treated as a creative writing exercise or space for a matrimonial ad by them. A typical profile read - I am tall, fair, good looking, intelligent, caring and loving, Brahmin boy, well settled, working for an MNC in Bangalore. I am looking for a woman with traditional values who would like to share my ambitions and look after my aging mother. I wanted to scream," Boy, what you need is nurse maid not a wife. There was steam coming out of my ears, by the time we finished searching all the men of my caste. My mom was on a different trip altogether. The guy who looked the ugliest, couldn’t spell words like believe (belive) properly, were the ones she wanted to send an interest to.

To someone not acquainted with the way the whole arranged marriage thing works in India, firstly, you need to have an idea of the caste system is all about. Secondly ,the Indian culture.
Since time immemorial, the caste system divides the entire hindu community into 4 basic groups – The warriors or Kshatriya/Rajputs , the high preists- Brahmins , the traders – Baniyas and the untouchables – or shudras. The kings in the earlier days used to belong to the warrior caste and occupied the top position, till the priests made God and communication with god their sole property and switched to t he number 1 spot. And so over the years the fight between who is no.1 and who is no.2 hasn’t resulted in any concrete result. In these castes there are about 20 –25 subcastes , some divided on the basis of our forefathers vocation 20 – 25 years back – intercaste marriages Here is how it works. Using the keywords you wade through the mass of men who fit your criteria. If you check the box for photos, you are faced with a sea of mug shots to choose from. This is where first impressions count. Click on a slightly interesting photograph, read the profile, if you like what you see, check a little box at the bottom that asks you if you would like to send your 'interest' to the person. The person checks his/her email, see your name, check your profile, sees if you fit what they have in mind , then either accepts or declines your 'interest'. If they accept and are paid members of the site they can send you a little note along with their acceptance telling you what email id to communicate with them on. Boom! We have a connection. That is, if you are not already having second thoughts about contacting them in the first place. Finally at work, in peace I checked out some matches with keywords of my own. I always wanted to travel and live in an exotic place, that became one of starting point of my keyword search - France, Italy, Switzerland. I also looked for people with non-conventional, interesting professions - pilots, merchant navy and of course from the adventurous world of advertising. I expressed my interest to guys I thought sounded a little promising and waited. The early responses my profile got were a little disappointing - a balding paediatrician, customer support professional from Bahrain itself and nasty looking businessman from Hyderabad. These were people whom my profile had attracted on its own. WHOA! I didn’t log on for a couple of days after that. Till a few days back when my yahoo messenger told me I had one unread email. It was from the Shaadi tea, informing me that Mr. coolguy had accepted my interest but of course as a member who still hadn’t paid for the services of the website, I could do nothing except wait. I wasn’t about to spend $55 in some thing I didn’t believe in - yet. And then, just yesterday, I got a message in the inbox of the website. Some one who I had expressed interest in, had accepted it, with a little note. The note contained his email address and even his mobile number. I sent him a mail and was surprised to receive a reply within the hour. We got on to yahoo chat and spent the next couple of hours chatting. It was hesitant at first ( I am a little shy while talking to strangers) but slowly a rapport was built with funny repartees flying, back and forth. It was then I realised fears are easy to throw away once you put them in their proper perspective. If you analyse them, you'll often find that they're really silly and immaterial, and the vast majority don’t even exist outside your mind. So I have little to lose and lot to gain, maybe a budding romance or maybe just a new friend. Either way, my mind is open to all the wonderful possibilities. What ever happens next, I’ll keep you posted.

P.S: For someone who hasn’t even had a pen pal, shaadi .com is a big leap of faith.
